Pewsey Carnival will provide public liability 5 million insurance for walking classes 1 & 2
Walking Classes (Entry is Free)
Class 1
Individuals or Groups of Walkers with/without a Hand propelled float/cart powered by batteries
Class 2
Individuals or Groups of Walkers with/without Hand-propelled float/cart using a diesel generator
The walking classes will be judged at the assembly field – please note Petrol Generators are not permitted
Motorised Classes (Entry is Free)
Class 3 – Small Floats/carts – 4 Float Marshals required
Units less than 9m pulled by a roadworthy motor vehicle, this includes quadbikes. No petrol generators. 4 Float Marshalls req.
Class 4 – Large Floats – 6 Float Marshals required
Units more than 9m pulled by a roadworthy motor vehicle. No petrol generators. 6 Float Marshalls req.
Any motorised vehicle used in the procession must have notified their insurance company regarding the use of their vehicle in the procession. It is COMPULSORY to carry out a float risk assesment prior to the event. Only Diesel generators are permitted in the procession
The Ron Oram cup will be awarded to the best entry. Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 2rd in each class.
